One Central Place API reference

Overview

The One Central Place API consists of a REST API, which can return XML and JSON responses. It allows for searching of the directory, and retrieving specific information about organisations.

All request formats, listed on the API index page, take a list of named parameters, some of which are required, others method-dependant, and others optional.

The arguments, responses and error codes for each method are listed on the method's specification page below.

Before you start querying the API, you need to have a valid One Central Place account (signup), and a valid API key, which you can apply for by contacting us at hello@onecentralplace.org.

Once you have your API key, you will be automatically limited to 1000 API calls per day. If you want to exceed this amount, please do get in touch with us and we can arrange extra capacity.

Please send feedback and examples of your use of the API to us, we'd love to see what you're using the API for. You can email us at hello@onecentralplace.org
