Dear All,
Manchester Youth Volunteering Project (MYVP) is a charitable organisation based in Manchester that aims to enable young people to play a full and active part in their communities now and in adult life though volunteering. We find volunteering placements, projects and events for young people aged 14-25 based on their interests, and give them support and help along the way. We recognise the benefits of volunteering and we are especially concerned to have a focus on those young people who find themselves at the margins of society.
In the current economic downturn we have seen an increase in the number of young people who are using volunteering as a stepping-stone into employment or full time education. As a result, MYVP is looking to support these young people by not only providing them with volunteering opportunities but by also giving them a variety of training options which help to build up their transferable skills and also gives them a valuable chance to have insight into particular industries.
As a result, we are currently looking for an organisation to deliver training to our young volunteers focussing on getting into the voluntary sector. The training should broadly cover the following:
We would like this to be delivered between early February and the third week in March this year. If you think that your organisation would be interested in delivering this type of training to a group of our volunteers, please could you send me the following information:
I look forward to hearing from you.
Thank you.
